A month on from the accident, the bike has been written-off and the insurance company agreed that I can pull a few extras off the bike (ie GPS mount, Topbox with Hi-Stop light etc) so I went over to Turners to get some pix and the bits.
Before that I took some pix of the gear I was wearing at the time (all part of the claim)
The damage to the gear is pretty minimal considering how far I slid along the tarmac.
It was a bit more sobering to have a good look at the bike though, the green lifeblood still oozing from the radiator making it look rather tragic. I thought that was odd because it seemed to indicate that any post-accident inspection must have been pretty marginal, I took what I could, then found out later (from the chap that bought the wreck) that the rather new most excellent battery had been swapped for a used up dud and it all made sense ...that is what I would expect from Motormart!
These blogs were posted on the KiwiBiker forum but I decided it was time for a change.
